Laila is coping with the death of her father and now, her close friend Bryson Russell. In the midst of it , she encounters a mysterious older guy named Boone at a funeral home. She befriends him out of curiosity, learning of his past transgressions and discovering he’s the brother of her deceased friend. With his ex-convict reputation, he finds himself fighting the urge to return to his old ways once the truth is revealed about the cause of his brothers death. Laila pursues him in spite of, which leads to unexpected happenings.
